MECAL is a leading UK Certifying Authority, authorised by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency to survey and certificate commercial sailing, motor vessels and workboats up to 24M Load Line Length.

MECAL (Jersey) Ltd has been appointed by the Jersey Marine Administration as their technical arm to draft and implement their modern marine law. Mecal (Jersey) Ltd assists the Jersey Administration in the survey and certification of commercial vessels up to 150 Registered Tons and the Jersey Registered fishing fleet.

MECAL can also assess all sizes and types of vessel to particular National and International Standards for issue of a “Certificate of Compliance” towards acceptance of a particular vessel by a Local or National Marine Administration.
