Procedure for Certification

• Submit application form
• MECAL issues simplified code specification to assist in preparation of vessel
• Mecal appoints examiner to contact owner and to carry out surveys
• Mecal co-ordinates the survey and any necessary technical assessment of the vessel
• Examiner submits reports to Mecal for technical scrutiny and issue of certification
